The Riker, Chance and Flash Awards
The instructors at Saddlebrook vote each year on three very special awards. The Riker Award, The Chance Award and The Flash Award. The instructors and staff vote on which student they feel deserves the following awards. Congratulations to all recipients! Recipients will receive a plaque to take home and also have their names on a plaque in the foyer.
The Riker Award
The Riker Award is awarded to the rider who has demonstrated the dedication to their horse or pony throughout the year. Consistent riding, maintaining a positive attitude and has progressed with their horse similar to the way Jill and Riker did throughout their time together. The 2008 Riker Award is presented to Nina Kolodij.

The Chance Award
The Chance Award is awarded to the rider who selflessly helped out at the barn. This rider helped whenever or wherever needed. This rider had a positive attitude and was attentive enough to notice when assistance was needed and volunteered their help. This rider demonstrated the same kindness and gentleness that Chance showed to Ranch Timers, Girl Scouts and Campers. The 2008 Chance Award is presented to Elise Sheard.

The Flash Award
The Flash Award is an award to celebrate the life that Flash had here at Saddlebrook. Everyone loved him; he was a great horse to learn on, very forgiving and honest. This is a new award that is given to the student who tries hard, has good work ethics and loves horses. Although we'd love to give this award to everyone, we can only choose one person. The 2008 Flash Award go to Amber Walraven.
